The last three miles are unpaved.

Northbank Lake
By car Forty minutes from Penrith via the A6. From the M6 junction 40, follow signs to Eden Valley. The final turning is easy to miss — a weathered wooden sign reading Northbank.
By train Penrith is the nearest mainline station (Avanti West Coast). We are happy to collect guests by arrangement — please give us two days’ notice.
On foot Long-distance walkers on the Lakeland Ring pass within half a mile. Drop us a line if you’d like to stop in for tea.
